Supporting the Whyalla uneARTh Festival

Our team in Whyalla supported the Whyalla uneARTh Festival over the Easter long weekend, an event that saw the South Australian town come to life with a program bursting of local talent and touring artists. Bis have been supporting this local event since its inception in 2017.

The event kicked off on Good Friday with music, cabaret, circus activities and more. On Easter Sunday, Bis and the Whyalla Tourism Focus Group hosted a Lazy Sunday under the Bis marquee at the Whyalla foreshore, featuring acoustic tunes, food and wine, with activities for the kids.

Bis is proudly celebrating 60 years in Whyalla this year, where we currently employ over 200 people and are active members of the local community.

Our 200-strong workforce in Whyalla provide a complete supply chain solution for our customer including haulage, crushing and screening, product management and train loading.  Safety is at the forefront of everything that we do and we are committed to delivering safer solutions for our customer.

At Bis, we believe that having strong partnerships with our local communities is vital for a thriving future.  The communities in which we work and live are very important to us, and our workforce in Whyalla is strengthened by local, diverse team members.
