Bis recognised as one of Australia’s most innovative companies by Australian Financial Review
Leading service provider to the resources sector, Bis, has been recognised for its culture of customer driven innovation, securing a spot in the 2019 Australian Financial Review’s Most Innovative Companies list.
The prestigious annual list, curated by The Australian Financial Review, is based on a rigorous assessment process managed by leading innovation consultancy, Inventium, in conjunction with a panel of industry expert judges. There were over 800 nominated organisations from across Australia and New Zealand.
Bis ranked #4 on the list in the Agriculture, Mining and Utilities category. The assessment measures a top innovation implemented in the past twelve months, as well as a company’s internal innovation processes and culture.
Specifically, the judges look at the scale of problem that the innovation is solving, the quality and uniqueness of the solution and the level of impact that the innovation has made. Inventium also assess internal elements such as innovation culture, strategy, resources and process, which demonstrate a sustainable and repeatable approach to innovation.
Bis CEO Brad Rogers said the company’s inclusion on the list and its ranking was further recognition of Bis’ recent invention, Rexx, as a game-changing haulage solution and acknowledgment of the broader innovation culture which flowed through the company.
“We have a dedicated team designing products and services to solve customer challenges to deliver distinctive value to their operations. Our culture of curiosity and innovation has driven the business from its early days, and we are proud it remains at the forefront of everything that we do,” Mr Rogers said.
“There is much more to come from Bis. We have a pipeline of innovative products and services that we will be launching to the market over the next 12 months, which have all been developed with our customers’ needs in mind”.
The accolade follows a win of the 2019 Future of Mining Innovation Award earlier this year, which recognised collaborative innovation resulting in standout commercial outcomes.
