Bis prepares for growth with appointment of Director Strategy and Development

Bis has announced the appointment of experienced international mining technology and operations executive, Todd Peate to lead its new Strategy and Development portfolio.

In the new role, Mr Peate will have responsibility for the delivery of Bis’ innovation pipeline, business development and corporate development activities, as well as corporate affairs and marketing.

With deeply relevant recent experience, Mr Peate’s appointment is set to further strengthen Bis’ focus on expansion in domestic and international markets.

Welcoming Mr Peate to the business, Bis CEO Brad Rogers said the appointment comes at an important time for the company, as it continues to focus on converting its large opportunity pipeline and launching disruptive patented products and services to the mineral resources industry.

‘Todd joining the business will open up even greater opportunities for expansion to new markets and geographies, for step-out innovations as well as building on the existing momentum we’ve generated in the resource logistics space, through proprietary products such as Rexx and Razor.’

‘I’m excited for what’s coming next at Bis and our Strategy and Development team will play a large role in shaping this.

Mr Peate said he was delighted to be joining Bis.

‘What Bis has been doing recently in the mining innovation and customer-led solutions space is nothing short of exceptional.

‘Finessing our existing programme of patented solutions, as well as forging a new pipeline of step-out customer innovation opportunities is what I’m particularly excited about. Put simply, I’m passionate about solving problems for customers.’

Mr Peate joins Bis from Orica, a leading global mining services company, where for 10 years he has held strategic and operational roles across the organisation including President Director of Indonesia, Vice President of Global Marketing and most recently, Vice President Australia Pacific.
