Bis Karara team recognised for their risk management

There is nothing more important than the health, safety and well-being of our people.

We are proud to recognise the team at our Karara Tailing Facility Operation who have recently won the 2018 Australian Business Award for Risk Management. Our team at Karara understand the diligence needed with regards to the management of risk, specifically the management of exposure to airborne Crystalline silica. For the past four years, our team at Karara have been actively monitoring, managing and improving controls measures to eliminate or reduce the exposure to Crystalline silica , a respirable dust. This work was recently audited and verified by an independent specialist agency.

The collection, analysis and management of airborne contaminants in our workplaces is just one example of our commitment to Zero Harm.
