Welcoming work experience students to our operations

Year 12 students from a local school have began work experience at the GBU site in Melak, Indonesia where we provide logistics services for our customer Gunung Bara Utama.  The program will run over three months and each student will be assigned a Bis employee as their mentor.

At Bis, we believe that having strong partnerships with our local communities is vital for a thriving future.  The communities in which we work and live are very important to us, and our workforce is strengthened by local, diverse team members.

The work experience program provides the next generation of workers an opportunity to apply their school learnings in a real-life workplace environment.

At the end of the program Bis mentors will evaluate the students’ performance and provide guidance on future career paths and opportunities.
